Following the observation that a significant portion of applications to the Ombudsman Institution, under the Turkish Grand National Assembly, concern education issues, and that applications regarding private schools have recently increased, the Institution has decided to prepare a special report on the problems of education in Turkey. To gather data for this report, the Ombudsman Institution has initiated a survey targeting parents to determine the extent to which equal opportunities are provided in education processes in Turkey and to identify parents` experiences and observations regarding the education system. The participation of all parents in this survey is of great importance for accurately identifying problem areas in the education system and developing solutions. In this context, the participation of student parents, university staff who are also parents, students who are themselves parents, and all stakeholders directly or indirectly involved in the education process is extremely valuable for the comprehensiveness and representativeness of the report.
